Good News vs. Good Ideas

I listened to a talk today by NT Wright on Jesus and the Kingdom, in which he said a very profound thing:

There is a profound difference between seeing Jesus as having good ideas and having Good News.

    I absolutely agree. If Jesus simply had good ideas, he is just another great prophet or teacher and not the Messiah. It is imperative that Jesus have Good News. Without it, we are lost.
